From Semenyih to an integrated care network

Founded by Tan Sri Kong Hon Kong in 1990, Nirvana began with the first private memorial park in Semenyih approved by the Selangor state government.

Its role has since expanded beyond operating memorial parks. Nirvana's published services now connect immediate funeral coordination, decedent care, burial and cremation choices, columbaria, pre-planning and continuing remembrance within a broader bereavement-care system.

The current official branch directory lists facilities across Central, Northern, Southern and East Malaysia, together with regional operations in Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand. This website focuses on helping Malaysian families understand and access the services and selected locations most relevant to them.

What Integrated Care Means

Different parts of the farewell can be coordinated within one wider system

01

Immediate Farewell Care

Guidance may begin with documentation and care of the deceased, then continue through the wake, ceremony and funeral procession.

02

Final Resting Choices

Families can compare burial, cremation, columbarium, urn burial or scattering arrangements according to faith and preference.

03

Planning & Remembrance

Pre-planning, memorial park visits and continuing remembrance services help families prepare before and after the funeral day.

What “Caring for Life” Means

A philosophy expressed through people, culture and professional care

01

Every Life Is Meaningful

Nirvana's stated philosophy begins with the belief that every life is precious and deserves to be honoured with dignity.

02

Culture Remains Relevant

Traditional funeral and remembrance practices are preserved while being interpreted for the needs of contemporary families.

03

Care During a Critical Time

Integrated facilities and professional support are intended to reduce the number of unfamiliar decisions a grieving family must manage alone.

Responsibility Beyond the Ceremony

Long-term care also involves maintenance, standards and community

01

Maintenance Trust Fund

Nirvana publishes a memorial-park maintenance trust fund of over RM100 million, managed by an independent trustee for roads, landscaping and infrastructure.

02

Operating Standards

Group sustainability policies cite ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 frameworks supporting quality, environmental and occupational-safety efforts.

03

Community Responsibility

Nirvana's published policy describes charitable and community work through NV Foundation and related departmental activities.
